7th Grade: Tuesday Themed Class
7th grade Tuesday class is divided into 18 Thematic Units and a Final Project which focuses on the historical periods studied in class each week.
A Thematic unit is the organization of a curriculum around a central theme that integrates subjects across the curriculum such as reading, writing, communicating, social studies, math, science, visual arts, drama/theater, music and SEL. In this second part of World History, 7th graders explore significant events and developments all over the globe, beginning with the Fall of Rome in the 5th century A.D., and extending to the modern ages of Reformation, Exploration, and 17th-century Enlightenment.
The “Civilizations / Units” etc. column provides an overview of topics covered in the National Geographic World History Medieval and Early Modern Times text. Click live links in red for more information and activities relating to that unit.
