6th-8th Grade STEAM Program
We have another exciting year of Maker workshops planned for students! These monthly workshops are designed to get kids working with their hands, mastering tools, stretching their engineering skills, and exercising their creative brilliance.
How do I sign up my student? One project is offered in two sessions each month on a Thursday from 9am-11am or from 1pm-3pm. Class sizes will be limited to 20 students per session. When open, registration forms will be shared via ParentSquare. Generally, links will be posted on the first school day of the month prior to the workshop.

All workshops are once a month on a Thursday from 9-11 a.m.or 1-3 p.m.
- October 12 Robotic Hand
- November 9 Wiring a working speaker
- December Hour of Code- Website links will be sent in a ParentSquare so your student can work through the activities at home. There is not an onsite workshop this month.
- January 18 Wood burning
- February 8 The Great Paper Ball Run Challenge
- March 14 Pi Day activities
When you register, please choose the time that best fits your schedule. Sign-ups will be on a first-come, first-served basis; you may be placed on a wait list. HCS Staff will contact you by email to confirm your registration.
