Celebrating Spring and Our Community’s Successes
Dear Hickman School Community,
As the beauty of spring surrounds us, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for the energy, care, and dedication that fills our school community. Spring is a time of renewal, growth, and reflection—and this season, we have so much to celebrate together.
First and foremost, please join me in congratulating Hickman Elementary School for being named a 2025 California Distinguished School! This is a tremendous honor that reflects the unwavering commitment, hard work, and passion of both our staff and students. It takes a true team effort to achieve such recognition, and I couldn’t be more proud of this outstanding accomplishment. Well done, Hickman Elementary!
We are also thrilled to share exciting updates about the growth of our district. Our new transitional kindergarten (TK) building project is moving full steam ahead and is currently ahead of schedule. Two brand-new TK classrooms will be ready to welcome our youngest learners for the 2025–2026 school year, allowing us to expand and support early education even more effectively. If all continues as planned, we expect the portable classrooms to be delivered the second week of May.
This spring has also brought us the joy of music, thanks to our amazing music program and the inspirational spring concerts performed over the last couple of weeks. These performances have been truly uplifting—showcasing the talent, discipline, and creativity of our students, as well as the dedication of our phenomenal music educators. Thank you to everyone who participated and supported these events. They’ve brought our community together in the most beautiful way.
As our school continues to grow and evolve, it’s inspiring to see the positive momentum throughout our district. Thank you for your continued support, encouragement, and partnership. Whether it’s in the classroom, on the stage, or behind the scenes—every effort contributes to the success of our students and the strength of our community.
Wishing you a joyful and productive spring season, a blessed Easter, and a restful Spring Break!
Warmly,
Trish Anderson
